Masaki Murashita

23 year old Masaki was born and raised until age 15 in Aichi,

Japan. He started playing bass guitar in the 3rd grade and at

15, while studying abroad in Canada, became addicted to

Heavy Metal. His early college years would see him in Seattle,

Washington, trying to find other quality musicians that shared

his passion and vision. His journey to find the right musicians

would ultimately take him to Phoenix, Arizona in 2007, where

Masaki met Travis through mutual friends. The end result is the

nucleus of Hemoptysis. As a true fan of Metal, he was tired of

hearing band after band all sounding the same. He wanted to

start a band with its own unique sound: something original that

had the classic old school sound. Masaki set his sights higher

than most. Not satisfied with the idea of just being in a good

metal band, instead wanting to be spoken of in the same breath

as Metal legends like Megadeth, Iron Maiden and Slayer.

Masaki's goal is make a revolution in the scene and bring back

pure authentic metal. This goal has had unintended

consequences. For example, Masaki wasn't planning on singing,

but if you want something done right, you sometimes just have

to do it yourself. After numerous auditions for the role of lead

singer and not seeing the caliber of vocalist they were in need

of, Masaki let it rip...and no one laughed! Who would have

thought that this 5' 7" full blooded Japanese guy would be

capable of sounding like this! With the 5 song EP under his belt

and fresh from having worked with legendary Producer /

Engineer Ryan Greene on the "Shadow Of Death" single,

Masaki's career is on the fast track, without a doubt!
