The 2012 Jackson Showcase at NAMM was a big hit, with an incredible display set up over the weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Artists, product dealers and fans alike got a chance to interact and check out some of Jackson’s latest guitars, including the new David Ellefson Signature X Series basses.
Ellefson actually led a behind-the-scenes tour of the Jackson area, focusing on his signature instruments and a few incredible custom-shop basses built by master builder Mike Shannon.
The Megadeth bassist also took part in an epic autograph signing that consisted of bandmate Chris Broderick, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and “Metal” Mike Chlasciak.
The line was long, but the guys signed for every fan and took countless pictures.

Another highlight of the Jackson Showcase was the arrival of Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith. The metal icon checked out several guitars – including some impressive one-of-a-kind axes from Jackson Custom Shop luthier Pablo Santana – while on the floor.
All in all, the Jackson brand was well-represented at NAMM 2012, both by amazing artists and several eye- and ear-catching guitars.

Yea namm was great, minus the lack of new guitars. You still have no affordable guitars worth buying. Sure I could try the new x series, but to be honest I’d rather not waste money on a guitar that I’m gonna waste just as much upgrading. Not everyone wants EMG or duncan pick ups, ever heard of dimarzio? So that’s 170 for new pick ups.. 250 for a real floyd.. 700 for the guitar. Why not save me the trouble and come out with some guitars with decent specs (ORIGINAL floyd rose) for a relitively affordable price. I wanna be motivated to buy the guitar but I don’t wanna spend 2000 dollars either.
jackson guitars are just classic..
Phenomenal as always! Jackson guitars are the best in the world, I love my SL3 with a burning passion & would swap my soul for an Adrian Smith signature san dimas!
