Def Leppard's Phil Collen Discusses Manraze

Jackson signature artist and Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen checked in with Artisan News to discuss Manraze, an explosive punk-rock band he formed with former bandmate Simon Laffy on the bass, and Sex Pistols’ Paul Cook on the drums.

According to Artisan News, the British trio’s style is an eclectic mix of Def Leppard meets the Police with a strong dose of Green Day meets Foo Fighters.

Watch Collen describe the difference between his work in Def Leppard and Manraze below.

Manraze released its second, full length studio album Punkfunkrootsrock on Aug. 2. Purchase your copy here.

  1. It’s got to be hard to want to do different types of music when you’re “the guitarist from Def Leppard.” The new release might be great, but I’ll admit that all I really want from Phil is more Def Leppard.
