Megadeth’s Ellefson Launches New iPad App

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is looking to bring the studio to iPads, iPhones and iPod touched with his new Rock Shop app.

Teaming with POCKETLABWORKS, Inc., Ellefson’s app turns those mobile devices into a practice studio musicians can take anywhere.

The app allows players to easily dial in Ellefson’s signature tone with selectable digital audio guitar/bass amps, cabs and effects. The iPod music player provides instant access to all your iTunes music. The integrated song trainer makes it easy to slow down guitar riffs for learning by ear with speed, pitch and loop controls.

And, real-time processing adjusts the pitch automatically for Megadeth’s hit 1986 record Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?, which was originally recorded slightly below standard guitar tuning.
