Austrian death metal band Belphegor has released a raging new video for the track “In Blood – Devour This Sanctity.”
The track comes from their 2011 album Blood Magick Necromance and is as brutal as ever. For the video, Andrew Kovalev recorded Belphegor live from show in Moscow on Oct. 6, 2013 and interspersed that footage with scenes from a spooky cathedral.
Belphegor has another album scheduled to come out on May of 2014 via Nuclear Blast Records, but in the meantime, you can watch “In Blood – Devour This Sanctity” below.
On Nov. 12, the Phil Collen-led trio Manraze will release a new three-song EP entitled I Surrender.
This comes as the follow-up to the band’s 2011 album punkfunkrootsrock and will include a fresh recording of “All I Wanna Do” – which appeared on punkfunkrootsrock – and a live performance of “Connected” from a studio podcast session.
In addition, the title track features background vocals from Debbi Blackwell-Cook and can be heard ahead of the EP’s release.
Listen to “I Surrender” below and visit Manraze’s official website for more information.
MusicRadar‘s Jonathan Horsley recently put a Jackson Pro Series DKA8 Dinky guitar to the test and gave it a five-star review for its monster tone.
“High gain and low tunings are what the DKA8 handles really well,” said Horsley. “The clean tones, incidentally, are perfectly usable, with a good range between the warm elasticity of the neck pickup and the sharp clarity of the bridge ‘bucker.”
At long last, the autobiography from Megadeth bassist David Ellefson was made available for purchase this week.
Ellefson wrote Life With Deth last year with an assist from writer Joel McIver, and it covers his journey from addiction early in his career to his recovery and return to a Christian faith. He also discusses his current work with MEGA Life! Ministries and his studies to become a Lutheran pastor.
“My autobiography is not the usual tale of rock ‘n’ roll woe, but rather something I hope will truly inspire people,” Ellefson said in a statement. ”I have dedicated my life to my craft, and I wanted to share the story of how a kid with a bass guitar and the dream of rock stardom literally risked it all to move from the farm in Minnesota to Los Angeles, and with a lot of hard work, sacrifice and a little luck along the way, made the dream come true. I think the readers will enjoy the stories, as well as the hardships, of this way of life as a musician and artist. I’ve been very open about my life’s obstacles and the means by which I overcame them. Now, my hope is that this story will inspire others to follow their dreams and really live out the purpose for their lives, too.”
