Hello Everyone!

First of all, i would like to introduce myself, my name is Rodrigo and i'm from Brazil. Sorry about any flaws on my english, i hope you all to be able to understand me =]

I just registered in order to get on touch with the community of Jackson guitar players, and also to discuss/ask for help for something that a lot of brazilian musicians have trouble with.


If you live in Brazil, and want to purchase a Jackson Custom Shop guitar, you're in a terrible problem, for its almost unreachble to buy some of these magnificent guitars for a reasonable price here.

I mean, the import taxes in brasil are almost unbearable, to the point that if you seek to buy a custom shop guitar pricing around U$4.000,00, you would get a final price of about R$12.000,00 in Brazil thanks to import taxes and other stuff we face here. Its almost the price of a new car!

Add to this the fact that the two local dealers we have here in Brazil, wich are IZZO INST. MUSICAL LTDA and PRIDE MUSIC COM IMP DIST LTDA, doens't seem to take custom shop orders, mostly because of the price it would take to import one of such guitars.

And yet, Jackson Custom Shop Guitars are not seem on sale on Ebay or such websites, and even if so, i guess it would stole the reason to have a custom guitar, the resolotution to get a guitar made under your own settings.

My goal here is to highlight the situation we brazilians face to get a good guitar, ampli or any instrument, and if possible to check with the guys on Jackson Guitars, if there is any way we could find in order to make our dream closer to reality.

I know i speak the same voice of thousand of brazilian musicians would do, for we really have nasty dificulties to get a nice instrument here in these lands.

I hope i'm not posting it in the wrong forum or doing any mistake.

My only desire is to seek for some help.
