Tim Wilson was a good manager. Is Mike Kotzen a good manager?
My dealer stopped taking Custom Shop orders this year. Probably due to the fact that Jackson fails in the "make your guitar in a timely fashion" dept or the fact that they don't have answers to questions they should know.
I've been waiting over a year for my RIP 5-String from my dealer and whenever he contacts Jackson, they just apologize for the delay and have no idea when it's going to be produced and shipped.
Certain dealers who were apart of a special deal with Jackson got their basses first. That's why you see them floating around on eBay. This was like August of 2011. So I was thinking, cool, I should be getting mine soon too! NOPE!
It's March 2012, and still no light at the end of the tunnel...
I'm almost to the point where I want my 3 grand and change back. So disappointed in Jackson right now. They make killer instruments, yet fail in many ways in getting it to you.
WTF JACKSON! Figure out who's failing at the plant and get rid of the bad apple! Start getting people their hard-earned instruments!

Yeah, I've been waiting a year and 7 months now. However this is the first time they told me an exact date. Every other time they extended the wait they just told me the month. So by May 22nd I'll let you know if my year and 7 months is over!

Mike Kotzen Rules!! I dont know if you know it or not but he is no longer working for Jackson. He is working in R&D for Fender. Robert Maywalt (the Fender Custom Shop Guy) has Mike's Job for now on top of Fender, Charvel, and Gretsch custom shops. I sell these things for a living. I dont know why the Build times have gotten longer and longer. it seems they need to higher some more people. I ordered 12 CS last week and my build time up front was 18 months. I order 16 CS 14 months ago and I am going to get those from Oct 2012 to Feb 2013. The custom shop is smaller than my garage. most people dont know how small of an operation it is. What I do know is they wont compromise quality for Build times
