Hi, I'm wondering if everyone would like to comment on one of my guitar designs:
It is a custom guitar, based slightly off of a Superstrat-style body, but with several differences that you can probably see in the picture. BE WARNED, this is a big picture and I haven't had time to re-size it.
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/NTP/Guitar/Projects/Drawings/soundwaveguitar.jpgIt is called the "Soundwave". As you can see it's equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo and EMG pickups (Specifically EMG-81/60). The frets on the neck and the tuners on the headstock are not drawn in because the neck would be a generic 24-fret neck. The headstock is also a placeholder, so it is subject to change. It uses a stacked Volume/Tone control (to keep the face of the guitar clean and uncluttered), and uses individual pickup "On-Off" switches. The guitar would be a neck-thru design, with heavily sculpted cutaways and an '80s style body thickness profile (Slim at the very edges and thicker towards the center). The body would be mahogany, and the neck made of maple with a maple fretboard. 25-1/2" scale length.
What're your opinions, folks? Would you buy something like this?
