I have a Jackson KE3 Kelly that has a n3eckplate number 9690956. Can anyone please tell me how old this guitar is?

Not sure how old it is but my serial number it 9801664. I just bought it used this week, but I have a DK2 I bought in July 2010 brand new. Not sure if the first two digits indicate year made in some way or not. I don't think so though. If your guitar has duncan designed vs. Seymore Duncan pickups then that would indicate that it is older. I don't know exactly what year they switched the pickups though.

It's at least a 1996.. In 96 the serial numbers started with 96 and went up sequentially from there (allegedly).. IF you want to be really certain, take the neck off and look for a date stamp on the end of the heel..
