Hey All Jackson Owners!

I'll need some help about replacing my NUT on my two months old guitar. This part has been recently damaged and the slot of the G sting became a little FRAYED and the string is hitting the frets now. The vendor accepted the warranty partially, this is good for me.
My task is to find a NUT is compatible for a replacement, i'd like to put back a more durable one if possible (example not graphite). Is it solvable for a JS32RT?
Maybe the locked hardware types are too wide for me to place there. :(

Thank You People!
Best Wishes and Happy Holidays!

You need a 43mm (1 11/16") nut.. Check the height and thickness to make sure they match as well..

Thanks! The main problem could be the vertical length of the nut, not the width, because of about the 5.8 mm lenght graphite bar, the tension screw cover is too close. :?

You will have more problems then that.. The Floyd nut requires a shelf, it is milled onto the end of the fingerboard. If you currently have a standard nut, you do not have the shelf for the Floyd nut.. To put it simply, a Floyd nut does not mount the same way a standard nut does..

Yes, exactly right you are. Thanks! The warranty sustaining at least 21 months or more.
What do you think? I think if I return the product to the vendor and they stick the pieces together with some glue, and the part will be replaced with similar graphite material, something not Jackson...or the the sting slot should be filled. Both sounds like not a permanent solution.
Are these procedures all do not recommended? :(

If you take it in to be repaired, it will be replaced with the exact same type of nut that was removed (unless you offer to pay any difference for an upgrade).. I have never heard of anyone filling a slot in a nut like that, so I would not think that they would consider that an option. Take it back to them, and ask about it.. Yes, it will be glued in if it gets replaced, that is the way they are installed..

Length: ~42,8 mm
E to E distance: ~34,7 mm
Height: ~6,5 mm
Width: ~6,1 mm

Thank You all your replies MatreCarrefour!
Well, I don't think I can find a nut with the parameters of this, because my vendor is not an official Jackson dealer, so to replace exact the same nut is almost beyond possibility. :( I live in Europe.
I saw near all the forums and articles about Jackson JS Series but didn't meet with any remark, comment or a word that shows, yes ... this type is needed.
