My head hurts. Is there a clear heirarchy here? Maybe somebody could rank these sub ranges in order of quality/specs. Maybe there are overlaps between these sub-ranges in terms of quality/specs? I'm new to Jackson and their range is confusing me.

I played what I think was a RR3, but it was transparent dark green burst over flame top. It was AUD$1600 in Australia! I was surprised at how brootal the passive SDs sounded. Maybe I don't have to go active for brootz? Want something a long way from my LP and Explorer. The EMG HZs in a AUD$1200 Dinky were also nice pups I thought although I have read a lot of people dislike them.

Wondering whether a RR5 or even an RR1 is worth saving for. For the price the RR3 played and sounded great.

Would you take a RR3 over a X series RR? There are a lot of RR models and comparing them is a little tricky for me.
