Hello, Gary here, I'm new to this forum and to Jackson guitars. My question is I bought a Guitar that says "Ferro by Jackson on the head stock and can't find any info about it. It has a Jackson bolt on plate with the serial # 9761708 on it. I only paid $300 for it and the emg pups sound good. I was told that they were emg 81/85. I would appreciate any info at all, Thanks, Gary

Does anyone read this forum? Not even one reply....on other forums I usually get a reply or two the same day, maybe this isn't a popular forum....too bad, I like Jacksons!

Pau ferro is a type of wood sometimes used for fretboards. Does your fretboard look like rosewood or ebony? Maybe there were a few imports made in 1997 with pau ferro. I scanned the '97 catalog on this site and didn't see a listing.
