 Post subject: floyd failure

i need some help. i have a jackson kelly ke3 and i cant seem to keep the floyd in tune! iv have stretched the strings and everything they said to do but when using the floyd it still goes out of tune. any suggestions?

Is it your first guitar with floyd rose tremolo?

yes. i would go to a shop to figure it out. but the nearest shop that works on floyds shut down. i can get it to somewhat stay in tune but not exactly

Hi! Have you set the guitar up by yourself?

I think that the best thing is to take the guitar to a qualified person (in Italy we have the liutist) who can set it up.

It could be a problem of machine heads, strings or springs.

Check the lock nuts at your guitar's headstock.
Are they tight enough?

What strings do you use?

When you're playing on thick strings; how much springs do you have in your tremolo system?

What's about your bridge? Is it horizontal?
