Hey, I am pretty sure someone has answered this and I probably didn't see it. But the serial number on my Jackson is 9697945, and its a bolt-on-neck, but I can't find anywhere with that serial number. I got the guitar at a pawn shop yesterday, and i got a sweet deal for it. 250$ for the guitar, a hard case, cord, and a strap. But I want to know how much it originally was and such. It would be simpler if you posted a photo of it and put some details like what type of neck does it have(bolt-on or not), if it has a "Made In *****" sticker.
What kind of pickups.
Tremolo system(if any)
Etc.

if it has a bolt on neck your answers are inside. the heel of the neck should have the model and year printed on it as well as the neck pocket for the body.

That serial indicates a Japanese model of some sorts.
