I have a Jackson I bought in like 1985. Clearly made in San Dimas. The serieal # is 1244. Looking for people/info who have knowledge of these early Jackson's! Thx!

I don't admit to being any kinda expert but from what I've read the early days were kind hazy. I'm sure in a lot of ways. I know that Grover was working for charvelle and then things grew so with that low a number I would be surprised if there are clear records on it. please post a pic

From what I've read the serials get funky when they started producing over seas. My Kelly has no serial at all. It was apparently printed on a sticker along with made in Japan. That didn't last. Soooo, I had to hunt quite a bit to even come close. I can't remember where I read it but apparently when Fender bought them out some of the documentation about serials was missing.
