i thought it was basswood. I dont know that wood you say, but i guess it must be a cheap wood.

When i was looking for the wood type i found a UG review that said basswood, its always better to check on the catalogs, i only remenbered that 30 minutes ago lol.

Anyway, is basswood a good or not so good wood? I's just a matter of taste or someting more?

Expensive guitars dont usualy have this woods...

Well im not qualified enough to answer to that lol i only " discovered " the guitar one and a half year ago lol, so im pretty much a newbie. I googled it and found this:

I´m not sure about this lol, as i said im a new guy. But you should "ask" to google if it is a good wood and with quality lol. you may get some nice forums with answers. You can try that in our lounge too. But i agree i don't see that wood type much.

Did you ever tried something like that? I'm going to do that myself only if a can't find a luthier or some store to do it lol
