Hey, I got this guitar given to me, and I am unsure of it is a fake. I know the model is RR24M, but I just dont know if it is real. Here are some photos. Please Help!

Okay, well I was just looking up pictures of these style of guitar and a lot of the ones dont have rr on the headstock. Obviously only randy rhodes style would have them but even other rr24m's dont.

Looks to me a very cool rr, ready to play some THRASH METAL !

Do you see the RR on the headstock? I couldn't find any other jacksons with that on it. If you can then I will believe it is real!

The truss rod cover was added, it is not the stock cover.. Someone replaced it with an after market part, they are readily available on Ebay... No big deal, someone just thought the plain black one was boring...

Alrighty, thanks guys. Do you think there is anyway I could find where it was sold if I e-mail jackson with the serial number? or something like that...

And would any of you happen to know the retail for one of these?

IIRC original retail was around $1249 USD, but they are no longer available.. The used market is a little difficult to call at the moment due to overall economic conditions.. I wouldn't recommend moving it, they are a limited edition and bound to reclaim their value as the Japanese Jacksons are no longer manufactured...
