 Post subject: JS22R Dinky whammy bar.

I recently bought this guitar and took it home with a case and found out it came with a whammy bar, but the catch is, it isn't attached. I'm not sure how to put it in, it looks like you are supposed to push it in but there is a little part blocking the way. If you can help, that would be greatly appreciated.

is it 1 of dose that has a screw like thigy in it and u just spin the whammy couple (many) turns so it screws in and voila?

It should thread in to the trem like a screw if it has threads.. If it does not and has a plastic bushing on the end that gets inserted into the trem, it should push in.. If it is of the push in style and is new, there will be some resistance installing it because the bushings are new and not worn in yet..

It is the top one and the thing right above the part that goes in is stopping me from pushing it in.

The collar on the top of the bar has a thread in it that threads on to the trem arm collar on the baseplate of the trem. If your trem looks like the one in this pic ( http://www.themusiczoo.com/product/6056 ... now-White/ ) that arm is not the proper one for that trem, you need one that looks like the bottom one in the previous posters pic.. It should have regular thread, not the collar that you indicated yours has..
