Just picked up a Japan made DK-2 Dinky on e bay with Jackson case for under $400.
I was skeptical about buying a Jackson since Fender owns them now but overall I am completely satisfied with my DK-2. Seems that Fender is letting Jackson remain Jackson guitars without forcing any Fender influence on the brand.
The E Bay auction said that the guitar was only played a couple times and it looked new when it arrived last week. Only bad was that the action was way to low and the Jackson tremolo was way out of adjustment also all the frets buzzed when played but showed no sign of any fret wear at all. My local guitar shop did a $79 super tune( neck adjustment, frets dressed, tremolo adjusted and new strings)...Strings are Ernie Ball Colbalt and plays great now.
I won an auction for a Fender Blues Deluxe amp that has upgraded tubes from original and plan to get a great metal sound with my Marsha/Boogie modded Metal Zone and my Bad Monkey distortion pedals. My amp should arrive in a week and I will post on how the Jackson guitar with my Blues tube amp and effects sound.
