Hi all,

I purchased a Dinky back in August last year, and part of the deal was i was given a free service which i took up just after buying it.

I was happy with it other than the action so adjustments were made to this, not a great difference though and i left the shop wondering if they had even bothered to touch it, and they advised i get this done once a year.

This was in Peru where i bought it, and have sinse moved back to the UK, so put it back in to a local shop and they guitar tech advised that the neck is pretty bad, the bass end is too high and the treble too low and he has told me that no adjustments can be made because there is a severe twist in it.

I had no idea about this and he told me it wouldnt be so noticible just playing it, its more when its getting adjust that it will be spotted.

When the tech guy in peru done it, he told me it was in good shape with no issues, which obviously wasnt the case and the guarantee expired last month.

I have been advised to contact them soo have sent an email explaining to them what has happened as i still have the reciept, and suggested that if i send the neck over if i can get a replacement.

Im not holding my breathe on this and pretty gutted about the whole thing, so if they refuse to take the neck back im buggered.

I just wondered if that is the case would Jackson look into this, or would they simply pass the buck and say this is an issue between yourself and the shop?

Did you purchase it new or used? The shop in Peru may offer a one year warranty of their own, and I don't know what Jackson could do for you because the DXMG is a discontinued model..
