Last year I bought a SL2H soloist online (didn't try it first) and while I grew to like it, I was a little surprised by the thickness/profile of the neck. I have played Ibanez almost exclusively for many years and gotten quite accustomed to the thin necks. Recently I played a Jackson SLXQ and was pleasantly surprised at how much the neck felt like my Ibanez...but better. I planned to buy one in a week or two but now the Pro Series Dinky has caught my eye. Question is: how does the neck compare to other Jacksons and/or a typical Ibanez?

Not sure about the new Pro Series Dinky neck profile or the new SLX but I have a Japanese DKMG and the neck profile on my dinky isn't as think as an SL2 neck profile. Compared to my old Ibanez RG370DX the neck I felt was about the same, maybe slightly thicker from the DKMG, but on my Ibanez RG350MYE the Dinky has a much thinner neck from the RG. If the new pro series Dinky feels the same as the old Pro Series Dinky then you shouldn't have too much of a problem interchanging between the neck profile of the Ibanez neck. It's thinner than an SL2s profile though. But it all depends on:-
1.) How thick or thin the new Pro Series Dinky profile is
2.) What Ibanez model you have and what the neck profile is on that
Hope this can help you out, but I can't say for certain about the new Pro Series.
