Can someone tell me what the difference is between these guitars? I have a KV2 with a lightning sky design and a reverse headstock but i don't know what the difference is.

The KV2 was more or less designed to Dave Mustaine's specs. Medium frets, speed neck profile, etc, ect.. The KV1, IIRC, had jumbo frets and was slightly larger.. Dave also had a signature KV1 that had a Kahler fixed bridge and LSR tuners.. I had a KV2 with the Pile Of Skulls graphic, but just couldn't bond with it and sent her off to a very happy new owner..

Alright. I bought it because i never saw one with a reverse headstock. I don't play it at all and thought about selling it.

The reverse headstock is not all that common, but they are out there. Usually custom ordered that way, they were not offered in the standard production runs. Sometimes, dealers would order a limited run (usually at least 10 pieces), but those are usually numbered..

Here is my Mustaine KV-1 for reference, circa 1996, #080. LSR tuners, charcoal metallic.

Thats a nice looking guitar. I used to want one of those so i could repaint it silver like Daves. If i can figure out how to post pics on here i'll put a picture of mine up.

You can find them in silver if you are patient enough.
