Hi, I'm thinking about buying a Jackson RR V. The problem is that I'm having trouble ID'ing which model it is. I will try to get pics of it, but for now if someone could give me their opinion on what model it is, I would appreciate it. Specs:

Neck: BoltOn/22 Fret/Shark Tooth Inlays
S/N: 8 digits long starting with the numbers '04'
P/U: 2 Seymour designed humbuckers
Bridge: Floyd Licensed
Input Jack: Upper (larger) wing
Hardware: Chrome pickguard, knobs, and p/u selector
Knobs: 2 volume, one master tone
P/U Switch: 3-way selector

It appears to me to be an older RR3, but I didn't know if Jackson ever made the RR3 with Seymour Designed p/u's. I always thought the RR3's only had actual Seymours. I don't want to buy this guitar only to find out that its RX10D or a JS20/30, etc.

If I can get some pics, I will post them.

Thank you

The description is that of an RR3.. Earlier ones did come standard with Duncan Designed pickups, only the more recent ones were updated to Seymour Duncans.. If you can post a pic, that would help, if you can't get one of that specific guitar, try Google Image search and see if you can find one similar and post the link...

Thanks so much for your help. This pic is identical to the guitar I'm talking about: http://www.jacksonguitars.net/guitars-f ... hoads-rr3/

I've emailed the seller for pics and serial number. Will post when/if I get them. Thank you.

That is a genuine RR3, the pickups are Duncan Designed Detonators (one of my personal faves), very high output in the bridge position.. If that is the actual guitar you are going after, I would grab it in a heartbeat..

Edit: if that is the one you are getting, make sure you raise that bridge pickup..

That wasn't the actual guitar, but it looks identical to it. But here are pics of the actual guitar (although they're not that great):
