I have 4 pc1 guitars that are from 1.5 to 1 years old and 2 of them have battery box issues. Does Jackson sell replacements. They are not well made with very fragile battery contacts.
Thank-you for any help you can provide.

I've had the same problem with the battery box. Sometimes the problem is the solder on the batter box contacts...

Try one of these....

Thank-you for your help. Just out of curiosity have you contacted Jackson about your problem?
I sent an email today and will be interested to see if they reply. I am sure we are not the only ones that have to deal with this poorly engineered part. The sustainer is the main selling point for this guitar and to have it be unreliable is a good reason to find another guitar to suit our needs. For the kind a crazy money they sell these guitars for you would think a responsible company would make this feature as road worthy as possible.

Being in industrial maintenance for 10+ years, I have learned what battles are and are not worth fighting.. For a $12 part and about 10 minutes of work, it wasn't worth handing my guitar over to someone else to evaluate the situation, then have to wait for any warranty claim submission, it's response, part availability, and turnover time ( in my experience, customer comissioned work takes presidence), all the while trusting that my guitar is being taken care of in a manner I deem worthy of my equipment.. These are components supplied to Jackson from an outside source, so Jackson also has to go to a third party for confirmation.. I never contacted Jackson, I figured there were less laps to run if I just handled it myself..

ya, i had the same prob. with my ams custom dinky(used white bangle). those Gatoh boxes are trash. and there only made in japan.
i ordered mine from a us, (in FL.) store and installed it in 5 min.
u see, there fradual as heck cause theres are tiny pieces of plastic holding the contacts in place.. so if you slam the battery home once.. its over. the sustainiac kills batteries too (i had a hamer chaparral i know). mine has emg's active. batt. last forever.
i wish you luck. but id just wright it off to wear and tear and fix it, and be more careful inserting the batt. since i fixed my box. no prob.

btw anyone got the pdf for the 07' catalog. its not on this site??? go figure.

Glad that worked for ya man I will give it a try. I guess I'll buy 4 of them. Still no reply from Jackson. Not surprised with their lack of concern.
