I think it was around 2001 and Megadeth had a online contest which I won. :D The prize was a autographed King V from the band. Yea its pretty freakin crazy! lol
I dont play it because they signed the guitar with a gold marker and it comes off very easily. Right when I received the guitar I plugged it in and played it. My hand hardly touched a little part of David Ellefson's signature and it came off easy. Since then I dont want to touch it lol I have many other guitars including a ghost flame King V to keep me busy.
Anyways, I am trying to figure out where and when this was built. It has the serial #9657414 on the neck plate, it's black, rosewood fretboard, floyed rose, duncan designed pickups and all hardware is brushed aluminum (which I've never seen before)
If anyone knows any info, I would very much appreciate it! Thanks for reading! \m/

Sounds like a KV3, made in Japan. The satin nickel hardware was used in 2000 and 2001, I have it on my KS2.
