Hi there.

I just Bought this guitar for a really killer price.
The thing is that I don't know exactly the model of this guitar. Some people say that is a slat3-6, other people say it's a sam ash exclusive because the slat3 didn't have biding and the metallic color was not an option for the slat3
I read somewhere that the sam ash exclusive has a poplar body.
Can someone please help me identify this guitar and tell me the specs?
What is the story for the sam ash soloist?

the first slat3-6s did not come with binding but the later ones did. the slat guitar did come in gun metal grey.
I know the sam ash model came in flame blue with seymour duncans(so it wouldn't hade the battery box). Not sure if it came in any other color
what's the serial number? that might help with the year.

Yes, that is the Sam Ash "SL2H", but don't let the model designation fool you, it's still an import. There were two different runs, one metallic black with EMG's and one Trans Blue with Duncans.. I know the blue one was Poplar, I'm not certain about the black one..

It looks like the same model, I wonder if the specs are what it says. I doubt the guitar has pearl inlays.
By the way, it cost me 377,51$ with hardshell case shipped...
