I bought a SLATTXMG3-7 back in September and I thought the bridge pickup felt like it was routed too far from the bridge which made it really awkward to play, but after a friend of mine recently bought one his feels a lot heavier in weight than mine and there is a huge difference in the placement of the bridge pickup, his being much easier to play, so my question is, is mine a one off that just happened to be like this? or was this a problem with a entire batch? I have read on a few forums that some of the guitars in the early lines were shipped with the wrong wood...basswood instead of mahogany, is this something I can send back to Jackson for a model with the correct pickup placement and correct wood?

I found out that the guitars with the last 4 digits of the serial number ending in 0500 and higher in this series have been changed to mahogany and the bridge pickup problem has been fixed, and of course mine is one of the ones that was sent out with the wrong wood and the bridge pickup routed too far from the bridge.
