If you have your mind set on a hum swap, perhaps consider some bareknuckle pickups or EMG.
If you're open to alternatives, look into other factors in your chain. Not to state the obvious, but... Amps and pedals are a huge source of color;more so than hum type. It can depend on tube type. I'm not familiar with the specs on the JVM or EVH models you have, but EL34s are brighter than 6L6. It can depend on EQ settings. Many metal players are guilty of scooping the hell out of their tone to sound like Metallica. Unfortunately, that peels brightness away as well. If you're already satisfied with tone, try pickup height. Don't sink your pickups into the body.
Thank you very much for your statement . To be honest I hate all kind of pedals etc . I prefer o have my guitar an my amp and that's it . I also prefer to have a good base sound without lot of toys ... When you say bare knuckles what you have in your mind ?
