In case you haven't checked it out already, the latest addition to the X series of Jackson instruments was conceptualized by none other than legendary Megadeth bassist David Ellefson. After much anticipation, we're excited to roll out the eye-catching David Ellefson Signature Kelly™ Bird Bass.
What's particularly cool about the Ellefson model is that Ellefson himself was a central part of the design process. The bassist came to Jackson with the idea that the lower horn of the basswood body should replicate the shape of the signature Jackson headstock, which you can see in the photo above. And it's hard not to notice the striking color scheme and red pinstripe finish, both of which are exclusive only to Ellefson's models.
Other features include a rock-solid quartersawn maple neck and bound fingerboard with 21 jumbo frets and block inlays, as well as a Jackson hi-mass bridge for increased sustain. And each of the EMG® 35HZ pickups offer high-output and low noise, with noticeable warmth and smooth attack.
Thanks for checking in, everyone!
