So iv had my RR3 for , about 4 years, i have kept it in MINT condition, polishing, waxing, brushing hardware ( more than i brush my own teeth sometimes :P 2 much info?), and as of 3 days ago my misses decided to give it a try , long story short, i have a 5 cm chip in the V section where your knee usually goes, don't ask how.. I don't know.. Can anyone tell me what my options are to fix this, any info ( its a glossy black, just the basic one), but if someone knows exactly what color pallete that is precisely, and what finishing jackson uses on this model ( im guessing some sort of poly.. ) , anyway id appreciate any help before i go looking for a lutheir. And ive thought of just using a black permanent pen but that's disrespectful to the poor thing..

Heck yeah! I wouldn't even think about fixing it or using a sharpie or anything. I had my 75 LP is the shop to get setup and the guy polished it up real nice and used a sharpie on a couple of knicks, I politely asked him to never cover my dings again...as you stated, it's a character thing!

You could always try black nail polish, I did that with my Jackson DKMG after mine had a huge chip, it's a noticable repair up close, but from a distance it's not noticable.
