Ok, so I have a Jackson JS series Rhoads and I am a little unhappy with the pickups in comparison to my Jackson DK2m(seymour duncan TB4 and jazz). I am wondering if anyone has used the new Seymour Duncan Blackouts Modular Preamp. It claims to turn any passive pickup active. I personally think that this would be great with the Jackson JS humbuckers, but I think this deal could be too good to be true...

Im interested in doing this as well, I'm just not sure how many conductors thr CVR2 pickups have. According to Seymour Duncan you can Blackout any 4 conductor passive pickup. It would really be nice if someone could chime in on this, maybe even someone from jackson.

Today I installed it! IT WAS WORTH IT! The CVR-2 are indeed 4-conductor pups
