I have a big problem with my bass, i have changed 3 batteries in only one month... should I change pickups ?? can somebody please help me?
the problem is : every time this happens, no sound is coming out of the amp. if i play a note and take out the jack cable and (or if it is already out) when i put it in, then i can hear the sound for 2 seconds and the its gone again. when i change batteries its all okay... but I have heard you only have to change batteries one time per 6 month...

please help me with this. here in Norway batteries are expensive

I used to have the cord in the bass, but after all the battery changing i became paranoid and took out the cord every time i was done playing... i use a guitar amp now for the effects tho. but i believe there is something inside, but idk. i checked it and all looks fine.

on any preampped bass you must take the cord out every time you are done or you will kill the battery within hours. If now you take the cord out after jamming and the battery goes dead in a 1/2 day, the jack is bad and will need replaced as it is not cutting the voltage to the battery, thus leaving it on all the time.
