It would be nice if Jackson would add their other custom paint jobs to the guitar builder page like ghost flames, snake skin, confederate flag, and any other artwork that is available. Everything is very basic to be spending that much money on a guitar. What is the difference between the standard USA model vs a custom model to where it cost $2,500 more dollars.

Hi Kellyho,

I don't work for Jackson, so I don't have the official information, but I don't think Jackson is going to just let the Guitar Builder remain as-is and collect dust. I'm pretty sure they're going to add more options in the not-too-distant future. For example, it wouldn't surprise me to see graphics like Ghost Flames and Eerie Dess Swirl added later, along with translucent dyed tops of Flame or Quilt Western Maple.

I'm just happy that they included a Kahler tremolo as an option-- I've never been a fan of Floyd Rose (there's a reason why both Kerry King AND Jeff Hahnemann prefer Kahlers).

I, for one, would like to see the "Kelly Star" (a Kelly top half with a Rhoads lower half) body reintroduced to the lineup, with the standard non-reverse headstock. I've always believed it to be the most attractive of Jackson's body shapes.

In the meantime, I'm taking pride in the 5 "presets" I just made, especially one I call "Green Fairy" (Absinthe Frost-finished Poplar Kelly body, Kahler Trem, Gold Hardware, DiMarzio Evolution pickups, Ebony fretboard with MOP Reverse-Sharkfin inlays).

I found that headstock binding option exists in guitar builder, but it doesn't exist in orderform!

I'm planning order KV via foreign shop because Japanese agency doesn't accept order.

I'm really worried about this problem.

I would be happy if they could set 7 string as an option :)

I would also like to see the addition of custom inlays and, maybe, even an option to alter the width of the neck and see that dynamically displayed.

The builder, as it is, is a great visual aid. I hated Schecter's and ESP's custom order utility because it didn't show you anything. This is a great alternative.

But, yeah, they will definitely expand upon it. They would be stupid not to.
