WITH the case, like any guitar ya just factor in another 50-75 so it could go for around 275-300 before it's all over. whoever gets it will have a lot of work on their hands to clean that mess up. Ya some dufus cut his initials in it but so what.

it looks like the "typical" someone played the snot out of it years ago and put it in a case all filthy like that and is now just getting around to selling it 15 years later. nothing wrong with that because I have also bought many filthy units, cleaned em up and I still got em -

and bring back kellys? :x
not the most radical explorer bodyshape out there, and if I had to have one I'd probably find a KBX and not a KB1 P/J even though it would be 2x the cost.
I have an old 80's TAK that was around long before the Kelly body was programmed into the cnc machines at Jackson, and deep down I THINK Jackson stole it.

You Nailed it!

I was going to snag it but upon further inspection of pictures it looked pretty banged up for a $300 bass....

haha ya, I have been selling and buying jackson stuff for a long time and "usually", if the unit fits the market price it goes for a normal amount. I have seen exceptions from someone who is willing to pay whatever to get it, but generally the market fits the price.

they seem to pop up on CL/EBAY and places every other month or so.
Keep looking, you'll find one :)

2014? That's gonna be a while. You know what would be cool? is if they made King V bases too? You know those babies would sell! I would buy one in a heartbeat if they did.

king V, RR, star, who knows.....it took em 10 years to put out a cheap Concert unit again anyway.

I doubt it would happen because it was not a Jackson body to begin with, but I would love for them to bring back the Firebird/TBX's again :)
anyone else out here besides me looking at this thread ever had one of these things?

The return of David Ellefson to Jackson really helped Jackson out. I guarantee David had some say in the new bass line that is available to us now. If he didn't come back to Jackson, I don't think the bass line would have been increased. Hell, he influenced them to make a Kellybird so who knows. Would be cool if they made basses in all the models they make. RR, Kelly, King V, Warrior (That would be interesting), and more concert basses. That way there is a shape for everyone just like for regular guitars.
