Hey guys, whats up. I'm Alex and I'm from California. Been playing guitar for about 3 years, hoping to start a band some day. I don't own any Jacksons yet unfortunately :( still using my old Squier. Saving up for one of your fine basses though ;-)

Hello Everyone!

My name is Dyrek. I'm from Ohio but currently in Louisiana. Been playing guitar on and off for 10 years now. I've owned a few Jackson guitars through out the years, one of which was my first guitar. :) As of now I own a B.C. Rich Mockingbird Exotic Classic (Koa), Epiphone Les Paul Custom, and a Jackson Randy Rhoads RX10D. I'm also currently in the works to getting a Jackson Soloist SLAT3-6 :D

Hey,
I'm 15 years old, been playing for about an year. I'm far from a virtuoso, obviously. Currently trying to play along with songs like Holy Wars, that's about how good(bad) I am.
I've owned an awful departament store plywood attempt of a stratocaster (around 100$) and now I'm playing a JS1 Dinky, which I'm pretty proud of!
I'm planning to get a KVXT, because I'm a Mustaine fanboy! I don't feel like I really deserve it yet, but it will probably help me get better faster.
I'm trying to find members for a band, but it's pretty hard here in Romania. I've written lots of good(not only i.m.o.) lyrics and a couple of riffs but my voice sucks.
Guess I'll learn some good stuff from you guys!

Its nothing to write home about but here's me...

I played on and off in high school I was never really good but one day a Jackson guitar was
put in my hand and from that moment I have dreamed about owning my own. It took
10 years but I finally got my first Jackson. Its a JS30 DK. The amp is a Crate GFX-15
I'm still not very great but I can play and I have a desire to learn and pick my guitar up everyday.

This is my next goal msrp $4995 haha maybe in another 10 years I will have come up and my skills improved i'll get the honor of owning it

Hi Brad, thanks again for starting the Jackson Forum.

My name is Roland, here are photo's of my Jackson Image Image
long time Fender player and Jackson admirer. Now with my first Jackson I am happy that they are really fine instruments.

I'm C from California. I've been a Jackson fan since I got into metal sometime in the late 80s. My first guitar was a Charvel (by Jackson) which I sold a couple of months ago to finance a Warrior X series. I'm trying to think how I learned about Jackson or who the first artist was, maybe Slayer's Hanneman or Randy Rhoads? One thing was sure, no other brand would do.

What I like about Jackson-- the best-looking headstock in the business, a great-looking logo (not so much the pearly one though), Jackson's commitment to metal with metal-shape guitars, the Warrior is my favorite guitar shape bar none followed by the Rhoads and King V. These days I'm really liking the alternate Vs, like the Demmelition and Beaulieu. And I like that currently Jackson is going through a rebirth of sorts and there a lot of neat details that I like. For example the dark fretboard inlays on some Pro models- very cool. Overall, Jacksons look great and the specs are good, too. Although I'm seeing too many guitars of all brands with identical specs. I think Jackson might want to look at some alternatives to stand out from the crowd, like offering some guitars with something other than EMGs 81/85 and offering Kahler tremolos. I also like the pricing of USA models. Sure they are more expensive than US Fenders and Gibsons, but other brands charge a lot more for American or Japanese guitars. American Jacksons are at least something one can dream of attaining one day.

As constructive criticism, what I'd like to see from Jackson is, no more guitars from India please. They are giving Jackson a bad name and have some serious manufacturing/QC issues. As mentioned above, some alternatives to what have become almost industry standards. There's also something with the white neck/headstock binding that it yellows rather quickly even on USA Jacksons; why not use better supplies, use an UV lacquer, or just dark-colored binding like some Charvels have. I wouldn't mind seeing USA/Pro Rhoads without the pickguard. Strange that the more expensive models feature something that makes them look cheap. Finally, I hope to see at some point a Pro-Series Warrior to replace my somewhat disappointing Indian Warrior (assuming the Indonesian are better at building guitars).

Love the slick new forum.

I'm Mark; I have been a Jackson enthusiast since the mid-80's.

I have 2 USA Select Soloists, a Custom Shop Soloist, the matching pair of Adrian Smith Dinkies, and an '87 Model 6.

My band Stroke of Midnight has just released, and we're hopefully coming to a city near you soon!
