So I go onto the website to look at and daydream about my favorite style of electric guitar, the Kelly. I fell in love with it when I first found one at my local Guitar Center, and desperately want to add a couple to my collection of instruments. The only problem is the Kelly seems to me to be dying out. The first Kelly I found was a performance model I think, but after that the only ones I could find were super cheapo made-in-Asia versions or $4000 custom shop boutique instruments that I would never be able to afford; even on this website, the JS series Kelly isn't showing up any more, and I was hoping to get one and make it my own. I've tried ebay and all I usually find are more of the same, and with a sell by date which I'm never able to make. What I think would be ideal is a middle ground, like an X series version of the Kelly. I was actually really disappointed when the Kelly wasn't part of the X series and every other model made by Jackson is. I really don't know why the Kelly is less popular, why there isn't a middle ground in production and prices, and I'm pretty sure that what I say here won't affect the production of Jackson products. However, I can hope that maybe someone will read this on the design/production board and hope to add the mighty Kelly to the X series, or an equivalent run, to be designed for the masses of players between the extremes of beginner and professional; an "everyman" Kelly, for lack of a better term. So please, Jackson, Fender, management, custom shop builders, anybody with some influence, restore the Kelly to glory!!!!
