Hi All,
I own a Jackson DKMG with EMG 81 / 85 and a Floyd Rose licensed tremolo. I like playing with the lowest action possible.
The action is currently set at 4/64th of an inch on the low E.
It gives a slight buzz on the low E when I pick the string hard. I tried lowering it more(adjusting the tremolo settings tuned to standard E) but it started buzzing more on the other frets. So, I set it back to the original settings and decided not to mess with it anymore.
Anyhow, does anybody know the official factory settings? What is the lowest possible action you can get without any fret buzz?

Try looking at your neck, and see if the truss rod needs adjusting.. Depending on the age and amount of time spent playing it, you may need to have the frets leveled, crowned, and polished.. Poke around for information on how to adjust the truss rod, and if it is something you are not comfortable doing take it to a tech for a complete set up.. There is much more involved in setting buzz free action than just trem height.. Good luck..
