Which are better basses... ones from the CB-X series or the JS series or the Cmg concert bass?

the CBX is closer to the old CMG in hardware and wood.
I have a couple CMG's and my friend has a new CBX. pricewise, I would go with the CBX cause to me playing both out of my amp are so close in tone, the CMG would not be worth the extra cost.

hmm, tone is subjective. a lot of tone comes from the preamp/amp.
I mean I wouldn't spend 3grand to show everyone I got a DE sig just for show-off purposes when something for 500 will do the same thing unless I was rich and money was no object.

The similarity I speak of is like a USA made neckthru compared to a Jap 3b neckthru, same wood, same neck, same bridge and tuners, same electronics, but WAY cheaper.
why pay 1000 more for a name on the TR?

dude, that is impossible. it is the same 5string black colored brass bridge they have used for a decade on many other units.
