It would have to be boxed and if it's not in a case the dimensions will vary.. Difficult to give an estimate if packaging is unknown.. A dinky body is 12 inches wide, and 2 inches thick, and the overall length should be around 40 inches.. I don't understand why the seller is not handling shipping, though.. Any insurance would be claimed by the seller as they are the shipper should anything tragic occur.. Good luck...

Hey thanx man. yeah, it's the guitar i want dimensions for, not the packaging. the thing about shipping is one of my friend is bringing it from the UK. so he has to get the exact dimensions to put the guitar with his luggage. Anyway thanx man, this helps a lot.

In that case, I would recommend removing the neck.. It's a bolt on, so all he has to do is take off the strings and pull the four screws out.. Mark the screws so they go back in the same location, and pack the screws, neck plate, and gasket so they don't wander.. If it hits the baggage handlers without extremely secure packaging, you are taking a major risk..
Good luck and let us know how it all works out..
