I have a Kelly Performer made in Japan and i couldn't find helpful topics in Google or Jackson website about those guitars as they only present the USA models here. Do any of you guys where i can find info about the Japanese made Kellys like the type of pickups (They are Jackson pickups but i need to know the model name) and year of production? The serial number is 9604215 but i didn't have any luck searching for it.

I'm afraid those guitars had poor consistency on components. Doesn't mean they are bad! They are fantastic guitars, but the components varied a lot. Sometimes it's even hard to tell which wood was used! Jackson catalog would say "alder or poplar" for a single model, meaning they switched around depending on availability. The pickups themselves don't have serial numbers, which makes it even harder. If you like them, that's what really matters. If you don't, put some Duncans in there! I did, my Fusion roars!

The next time you change strings, take the 4 screws out of the pickup bezel and look for a sticker on the back of the pickup.. Make sure when you put it back together, you put the screws back where they came from as they could be different lengths.. Gabe was absolutely correct, the components were not consistent through the series runs..
