Sorry, I know there's a lot of these on the board, but I love my Jackson Guitar I've had since about 2000, but have not been able to identify it. It's basically a "Dinky" style body, but (I think) it cost around $550 at Guitar Center when I bought it. There are a few distinguishing features that make it different than the $200 Dinkys you see all over the place:

It has two "Duncan Designed" humbuckers.
It has a FIXED bridge, where the strings go through the body (like a Strat) and then go over an adjustable height bridge to hold it into place.
Instead of the Strat-style "level" pickup selecter, it has a Chrome hardware "switch", similar to on a Les Paul

I've seen combinations of these features on different Jacksons, but never all in one. I'd really like to be able to identify a model number (and year, if possible).

It is definitely Made in Japan (see sticker), which is consistent with one made in the late 90's. The serial number is 9653243.

Anyway, it's been an absolutely terrific guitar for me. I was more into Metallica and heavier stuff when I bought it, but it has the tonal range and high output of a Les Paul, with a "Strat-style" body that's comfortable to play. Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It IS a Jackson DR6! I typed it into google images and my face absolutely lit up when I saw a bunch of identical guitars pop up! Thank you so much - I'm usually really knowledgeable about what I have and everything, but I got that when I was, like, 19, and it bothered me to all heck that I couldn't even tell people which type of Jackson I owned.

And thank you for indicating it is in nice shape! For the most part, you are right, though what the first picture doesn't show is that I let it fall against a wall several years ago and a piece of wood splintered off the back side of the tip on the Reverse headstock. Fortunately, it did not affect the shape all the way through (and is 100% cosmetic).

It really is an outstanding guitar - the fact that I bought it completely with one thing in mind, and now play entirely different types of music on it says a lot. I recently got a Gibson Les Paul Smartwood, and while I'm really happy with that guitar, I can't honestly say that it sounds "better" than the Jackson DR6. It does play very well, though when I bend on the high E around fret 13 or 15, it's killing itself on he other frets. Probably just simple thumbscrew adjustment to the bridge.

Thanks again!
