It
IS a Jackson DR6! I typed it into google images and my face absolutely lit up when I saw a bunch of identical guitars pop up!
Thank you so much - I'm usually really knowledgeable about what I have and everything, but I got that when I was, like, 19, and it bothered me to all heck that I couldn't even tell people which type of Jackson I owned.
And thank you for indicating it is in nice shape! For the most part, you are right, though what the first picture doesn't show is that I let it fall against a wall several years ago and a piece of wood splintered off the back side of the tip on the Reverse headstock. Fortunately, it did not affect the shape all the way through (and is 100% cosmetic).
It really is an outstanding guitar - the fact that I bought it completely with one thing in mind, and now play entirely different types of music on it says a lot. I recently got a Gibson Les Paul Smartwood, and while I'm really happy with that guitar, I can't honestly say that it sounds "better" than the Jackson DR6. It does play very well, though when I bend on the high E around fret 13 or 15, it's killing itself on he other frets. Probably just simple thumbscrew adjustment to the bridge.
Thanks again!
