Hi, I have a strange Randy Rhoads / V series and I'm not sure what type of model it is. It has a Floyd Rose type bridge, however it doesn't say Jackson or Floyd Rose on it. I'm not even sure it has the right neck on it. I have a picture of the neck plate if that helps. I also don't know if I have the right bridge for this guitar. I have a picture of the studs, I'm not sure if that's right either, but the stud inserts are correct though. I have a picture of a label on the body, but I'm not sure if it helps at all. There's a picture of the routing, if anyone needs the dimensions I can upload that as well.

As for my other question, what is the factory default setup for this guitar? Such as action, and neck relief.

Basically I just need to know what guitar it is, and the specifications for setup.

As far as I know, all Jackson trem posts were allen head, not slotted. I don't recognize the stamp in the sustain block or the sticker on the neck plate (looks more like a pawn shop inventory sticker to me). I hate to say it, but it looks like a bit of a parts mutt to me. The neck should have a model number and date stamped on the end of the heel (not always though). I'm not positive on factory set up, I have never had one that didn't need some adjustment to suit my personal taste.

Is there any way you could post a picture of the complete body and the neck? A little perplexed by this one..

It looks alot like this model - but I'm not sure if it's right, there also is a green print on the neck when i took it off for cleaning but it's faded so much that I can barely read 3 numbers

In picture 4, you get a clear look at the way a neck plate and country of origin sticker are placed on a new Jackson guitar (back then). If you look at picture 6, you can get a good look at the trem posts and see the allen head adjusters in the posts. You can also see the collar on the trem arm as opposed to the screw in type bar you are in posession of. As far as I know, that is the only style of trem post Jackson has used in production guitars. In picture 7, you can see that although there is no "Jackson" logo on the trem itself, there is a different stamp on the sustain block. Odds are you have a JS 20 and someone swapped out the trem...

Thanks, could you tell me what type of trem that might be? I'm not familiar with these type of floyd rose bridges - that and I'm not sure where to look for for buying a new one - thank you again for your help

I have no idea what trem is actually on there, but you can always pick up the Jackson LFR off of an auction site, there is usually a few of them out there for around $60.00..
