I am new to these forums and it seems like I have a common question. I bought a used Jackson "V", but not a Rhoads, with serial number 200712864 stamped on the neck plate. How do I find out the details of this guitar... where and when this guitar was made, model number(?), etc. ?
This is my first Jackson and I don't think it will be my last. I'd like to be able to look up the serial number before I buy my next one. How would I go about doing that? Is there an online page where I can plug in a number and get the details? Seems like that would be very helpful.
Thanks for any replies.

There is no current database for serial numbers, those that are known are not difficult to find..
To answer your question, yours is a 2007 JS30KV, made in India. Rock maple neck, rosewood finger board, and Indian Cedro body, Jackson CVR pickups.
