Hello all, I have a Jackson USA soloist that has a fret problem on the 1st and 4th frets they are slightly coming up near the high E string. So when I'm playing on that string, I'll do a bend and the string will hook on to the fret and I'll have to manually pull it off. I took it into a guitar shop and was told by the tech that Jacksons are known to have this problem and there's nothing he can do. Is this true? These two frets can't be set back in?

if you ask me, you can go see back that guitar tech and tell him he's a dick. There's almost nothing that can't be fixed on a guitar. I used to spend time as a luthier apprentice in a music store here and it's not rare for any brand of guitars to have such problem. What my luthier would do is use a small rubber mallet to set the fret back in place without causing any damage to the instrument or the fret itself.

take it to another tech, it is a possibility with any older guitar to have some frets that are not seated due to changes in temperature and humidity. Just had my jackson ps4 leveled and crowned and the tech said the first thing they check is for any unseated frets, take care of that problem first then level and crown the frets.
