Sorry about dupe thread, I'll PM Mod/Admin to remove my earlier one. What an idiot I am :?

Hey guys,

New to this forum but not new to Jackson! Bought my first one aged 18 (6 years ago) for £180 ($280 odd) It's a 1993-4 Fusion EX Professional and I love that guitar to bits. Also managed to grab myself a Kawasabi green (I hear you gagging ) Soloist SLXT for a steal at £249 ($390ish) a few months ago.

Obligatory pic of the pair below

Aaaanyway, I recently bid on a Soloist Professional, a 1990 to be exact, and unfortunately I was outbid by about £100, so I was pretty damn upset! I wondered if any of you guys would be kind enough to let me know if they come up much and if so, where? I have scoured the web lots over the weekend to no avail. I found one on the 'Bay of e but it was pretty pricey considering the condition. I've also considered the Charvel Model 6, but I think I'd still feel like I'm missing out without a 90's soloist, a true piece of the Jap history, I reckon.

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks!

Nick

P.S- I know there are three models from the early 90's;

The Soloist Pro STD, The Soloist Pro XL and the Soloist with the blank truss rod cover w/ebony fretboard, MOP everything etc. It's the third I want and love

I had a couple of Model 6s, they are great guitars, don't overlook it---I also had a sweet sunburst archtop Soloist Pro that I regret selling long ago [well, shortly afterwards, scored aUSA Soloist to make up for that loss]

Hey Gerry,

Thanks for the reply!

I do love the Model 6, it's the lack of Ebony fretboard that I'm not as keen on, though that's mainly an aesthetic thing so I suppose I could just oil the rosewood loads :)

They don't come up much here in the UK- once in a blue moon but they go for a hell of a lot! It seems that the Soloist Pro's and the Charv Mod. 6 go over in the states at between $450 and $600 whereas over here, they don't ever come up for less than £550, which is about 780 US Dollars.

I guess it's keeping an eye out really! The right one may pop up with time :)

Cheers!

Nick
