Beautiful guitars indeed. The X series is a lot more guitar than the JS series, which is why it also costs more. However, both are made in India. Based on my experience with my Warrior X, I would recommend against purchasing any Jackson made in India.
If you're budget allows for it or if you can save toward it, I suggest looking into the Pro Series. Since you play in a band, you do deserve and need a better instrument.
These are made in Indonesia and are brand new releases. I haven't seen one in the flesh, but they have some interesting features. There are King Vs, and Rhoads in that line. The Pro Rhoads has the oddity that it only has 22 frets for some reason.
As an alternative, you can also look into the PDX-2 which is a also V shape but it looks even better than the standard King V. It costs around the same as a King V X, has passive pickups, which some prefer, and is made in China. That may not sound like a good thing, but compared to made in India guitars, it is.
If your budget constrains you to a JS-level guitar I highly recommend looking at entry level BC Rich guitars. They have some cool metal shapes, including Vs, and for the price are very well made. Or there's always a used Jackson, perhaps you can find a used PDX-2 or better for your budget.
