Few months ago I bought this used Jackson. Seller didnt know what it was but my research indicated that it was RX10D and I bought it as such. But lately I noticed something strange when I was looking at other RX10D pictures.
The electronics cavity is wrong in mine. In every picture of RX10D that I have seen the electronics cavity cover is triangular (and possibly recessed? cant tell) where as mine is oval. At the moment neck pickup is labeled Duncan Designed (unsure of model, not taken it apart as I have no interest in neck pickups in this guitar) but I dont know if its stock as bridge pup was changed to Tonezone at somepoint and now X2N by me.
Floyd is some licensed crap, no other labels in it and is now blocked for good. There is no Jackson stamp in neckplate, but there is serial number 00050252.
Tuners are also not labeled, but then again I dont if they are stock and they are pretty worn and need of changing anyway.
There has been "Made in" sticker judging from the "clean spot" in the neck but it was peeled off at some point.
Here are the pics.
And this is what made me doubt if this really is RX10D or not.
Neckplate is wrong way in this one, ignore it. I accidentally putted it that way when I reseated the neck.
No labels in neck cavity.
