I see many questions with similar themes appearing frequently. eg what is the model of my guitar? What good is jackson if they cant even tell that. This website looks like a sham to me.

It would be great to see a complete listing of serial number cross references that include the pre-Fender years and imports. Several questions could be avoided.

yah i have a guitar that no one on here can tell me about im up to 30 views. im trying to sell it and i took it to a guitar shop i could be 800 or thousands and i would like to know...lol idk if i will ever though

Im thinking that they dont, Jackson wouldnt help or let me know if putting a floyd on a Dominion was possible {they wanted me to get a custom shop model instead} So I made believe thats what i was going to do, I got a phone # to one of their custom shops and asked if putting a floyd on a Dominion would be a problem, he said "no problem". It took me about 3 weeks to even get to the point of having a # to call. And now I have pics of my Dominion with a Floyd that Id like to share, but this site somehow doesent let just anyone post pics {and whats up with that?} , nice guitars, but after youve boughten it, your on your own

Of course a Floyd could be fitted to a Dominion. You could fit a floyd to 2x4 if you wanted to. Jackson won't do it though, and whether it's viable in terms of the routing that's required and the subsequent refinishing is a different question. And naturally Jackson want to 'encourage' you to order a custom shop. They're a business after all - Ford won't give you certain top-line options in the base-spec car - you have to upgrade.

As for IDing a guitar, it's easy enough to figure that out for yourself. There are plenty of places that are hosting Jackson catalogues, so when it comes down to it, make some effort and try to figure out what you've got. Import serials mean sod all to most of us so picture ID is the only viable way.

I agree with these sentiments..Another thing that would be nice is of course the return of the custom shop page. With the age we are in with computers being such a fast and effective way to communicate and especially with the number of people i've seen inquire about the same idea you would think they would take some sort of feedback.. Regardless if they decide to listen to us Jackson is still my go to guitar and i don't want to play anything else so hopefully somewhere down the line a more personal connection will be achieved. I posted some pics of the Dominion with the floyd to photobucket, but still cant get the files over to this Jackson site, I really wish there was someone to ask how to upload pictures on here, I mailed the site adm. a coulple of weeks ago, no reply, Im getting really sick of wasting my time on this

On some websites you have to have a minimum of 10 posts before you can post pictures. Don't know if that's the case here though, but...maybe?
