Hey everybody, those of you who have seen David Ellefsons videos from NAMM this year have probably seen the brand new basses jackson have designed, has anyone got any info on these basses and whether or not they will be available in-store (namely in the UK) and if so, when?

That's an awsome bass! but $3999 for 4 strings! dont wait, just order a custom shop of the exact same bass for the same price. It sad that jackson doesnt make any cmc american select bass guitars. 4k or $400 nothing in between but sig models

the ones he is holding are NOT DE sigs, that is the only part of your post that I will agree with you on, HOWEVER those are neckthru CS units and STILL 4grand just like my post says. The older Gumby units were just ugly, John Campbell and the whole C-20 lineup can kiss my ***. Those never sold, and now they are all over ebay for 200 bucks or less.
Those Gumby-heads failed in the 90's and they will fail in the 2010's.
Why do I call them GumbyHeads?
Notice a similarity here?:

Come on dude, these Basses look great. Granted, I also think the John Campbell Jackson basses are ugly but I think the basses David was holding in the video he posted were awesome looking. Even with the "Gumby headstock" or whatever, they still look great. Some people may love the quality of Jackson but don't like the tear your head off look that Jacksons give off. So I think it's great that they have Basses that are made for everyone in every genre playability and looks wise.

I'm not without reason for me to say I don't like the gumbyheads, but for that kinda money they should have used the sandimas fenderlooking head that all the guitarplayers go ape-shit over for looks "compared" to the traditional pointy for those who hate pointy anything.

I guess I'm pretty opinionated when it comes to Sandimas heads and pointyheads where the sales go thru the roof for people who love that look compared to that gumbyhead weird shape that should have only been used for certain models, not a whole series for 10 years, and now into the future.

I had a JPB7 and JPB8, and with that Consat body, it looked appropriate, but on the others...ewwwww

as far as the quality, price, and looks I guess we will have to wait for the MII models to come out to see what they will do since the new JS and X series are selling like hotcakes

The bubbly/gumby looking headstock is pretty cool in my opinion, with the C20 bass it didnt look so good but with the classic concert style body those basses he had were pretty damn sweet and I can see that being a big success for Jackson in the future because it looks so versatile

I think those basses look sweet, im not a huge fan of the pointy headstock on the basses, guitars it looks great but basses are iffy and the 5s are hideous with them!! The "gumby" headstock is more ascetically pleasing to me and looks more modern. Also the P-HB configuration is a great touch. Would totally sell my Ibanez SR400QM to get a 4-stringtransfer version. I wanna see these in the X series line. That's where they belong.
